How to Approve a Sign-In Request Using Yubikey Security Key

YubiKey is a physical security device that enhances the protection of your College account. Follow these steps to approve a sign-in request using your YubiKey and Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication.

Important: Before proceeding, make sure your YubiKey is properly configured to work with TSC. If you haven’t done this yet, see: How to Set Up YubiKey for Multi-Factor Authentication

Steps to Approve a Sign-In Request

  1. Insert your YubiKey into a USB port on your computer and sign in to your TSC account.
  2. When prompted to choose a passkey, select Security key.
  3. You’ll be asked for your security key PIN. Type it in and click OK.
  4. When prompted to touch your security key, touch the flashing Y on your YubiKey.
