Can an international student on an F-1 visa drop their course load below 12 hours during the fall and spring semesters?

No. Regulations prohibit students on an F-1 visa from dropping below 12 credit hours of enrollment, except during the summer semester.

Only the office of International Student Services is authorized to approve a reduced course load under very specific circumstances.
