The Testing Center offers a variety of secure testing services to students, faculty, and the surrounding community.
Follow the policies to ensure you’re on track to ace the exam:
- Bring a TSC photo ID or valid government-issued ID (driver's license or state identification card)
- Check our schedule for hours of operations and other scheduling specifications.
- Arrive at least one hour prior to closing.

Testing for Course Advisement
ACCUPLACER - Computer Placement Test (CPT)
Bright Futures Scholarship Students
A student needing to take a placement test to qualify for a Bright Futures Scholarship may take the ACCUPLACER for English, Reading and/or Math. Students must bring a referral letter from their school requesting to take ACCUPLACER for the purpose of receiving a Bright Futures Scholarship. Students must schedule an appointment by calling (850) 201-8282.

Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT)
The Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is a computerized adaptive exam that is used to determine the mastery level of students in the academic areas of reading, writing and mathematics.
The PERT is administered on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday. PERT is untimed, but please allow a minimum of three hours for testing in all subjects: English, Reading and Math. Please see the Testing Center Hours of Operations for available testing times.

Distance Learning Course Testing
WEB-Based Instruction Course Exams
WEB courses are taken online, however course exams may be administered at the TSC Testing Center located on the main campus. Please check with faculty or your advisor prior to registering to determine if your exam(s) must be taken at a proctored site. There is an additional cost for taking exams at a proctored site.
All tests are administered on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary. Students must arrive at least one hour prior to closing to allow sufficient time to complete an exam. Please see the Testing Center hours of operation for available testing times. Testing begins at 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Students will not be admitted to begin testing beyond one hour prior to closing.

Proctored Testing
Distance learning (web-based) courses require a proctored site for testing. Proctor services are only for students who live outside of the service area of Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla Counties.
We also offer exam proctoring services for students who are taking courses with a different college. Exams are administered by appointment only. TSC must be in receipt of the exam(s), prior to scheduling an appointment and please allow, at minimum, 24-hour notice for scheduling. Walk-in service is not available.

Program Admissions Tests
Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT)
The Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT) is administered to those who wish to become a certified Correctional or Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Florida. Access the CJBAT study guides as you prepare for your examination, then schedule your exam with the Testing Center's Workforce Testing Office at (850) 201-8282.

Nursing Program Admissions Test (HESI-A2)
The HESI-A2 Admission Test is the entrance exam required for all students applying to certain Healthcare Programs at TSC. For admission consideration, the TSC programs require a minimum score of 75 percent in each required section of the exam.
The fee for the test is $39 for TSC students and $64 for Non-TSC students. All fees must be paid to the TSC Cashier's Office. Students must schedule an appointment 24-48 hours in advance of the requested test date, and the HESI-A2 is only available Thursdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Accommodated Testing Services
If you are registered with TSC's Student Accessibility Services, you are eligible to take your advisement exams and course exams in the Accommodated Testing Center, located in the Fine & Performing Arts Building, 2nd floor, Room 219.

Hours
Testing services begin thirty minutes after the opening of the office and students must arrive at least one hour before closing.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
