I am taking out student loans. Where can I find the entrance counseling?

Students required to complete Entrance Counseling may do so at StudentAid.gov. Entrance counseling and the MPN (Master Promissory Note) must be completed before fee payment, in order for tuition payments to be deferred and for the loan to disburse with verified attendance.

Entrance Counseling ensures you understand the terms and conditions of your loan and your rights and responsibilities. You'll learn what a loan is, how interest works, your options for repayment, and how to avoid delinquency and default. When you're finished, a record of your completion will be sent to the schools you selected, and you can then receive your loan money.

Keep in mind that you cannot save and leave an incomplete session; you must complete Entrance Counseling in one sitting.

You must complete entrance counseling to receive loan if you have not previously received a subsidized/unsubsidized loan or, in the case of a graduate/professional student, a PLUS loan, under the Direct Loan Program or Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program.
