Your grades have the following numerical equivalents: Each A is 4 points, each B is 3 points, each C is 2 points, each D is 1 point and each F is 0 points. Add up the quality points for each course.
Divide the total number of quality points by the total credit hours to get your GPA for the term. In this case, your GPA for the term would be 31 divided by 13 (31/13), which equals 2.38.
