What is the grade forgiveness policy at TSC?

Students are allowed to repeat a class for forgiveness up to two times. Student must seek approval for additional attempts. If approved, students will be charged full cost of instruction on the third and fourth attempt of a class.

A student that makes a grade of “D” or “F” in a class can retake the same course and the grade will be replaced when calculating your TSC GPA. Grades of “C,” “B” and “A” may not be repeated for forgiveness. The original grade is never removed from the transcript, but the higher grade earned between attempts of a course will be used when calculating your TSC GPA.

Note: Developmental classes are not included in TSC GPA calculations.

*TSC's Grade Forgiveness Policy may not transfer to other institutions, potentially affecting GPA calculations when transferring to other schools. Students should verify if their transfer school accepts TSC's Grade Forgiveness Policy or recalculates GPA using all grades earned.
