Use Office 365 Email with two-step verification in the Mail for iOS App

These instructions are for adding your TSC Office 365 email account with two-step verification to the Mail app on an iPhone or other iOS device.

***Please Note: If you already have your TSC email set up on the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad, you'll first need to remove your existing account. If not, you can skip to the instructions for Setting up Mail for iOS with two-step verification for Office 365.

Remove your existing Mail Account:

1. On your iOS device, tap to open the Settings app

2. Tap Passwords & Account

3. Tap on your TSC email account, commonly named Exchange

4. At the bottom, tap on Delete Account

5. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Although the data is being removed from your phone, your Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes are saved to your Office 365 account and will sync back to your phone when you re-add the account

6. Wait for the deletion to complete. When you are returned to the list of your accounts, you have successfully removed your Exchange account from your iOS device.

Setting up Mail for iOS with two-step verification for Office 365

1. Navigate to Settings, and tap Passwords & Accounts

2. Tap Add Account

3. Select Microsoft Exchange as the account type

4. Enter your full TSC email address and a description, such as TSC Email, then tap Next. You will see a prompt to sign in to your tsc.fl.edu Exchange account using Microsoft. Tap Sign in

5. This will redirect you to the TSC sign-in page, where you will enter your TSC password. Then, tap Sign In

6. Because of enrollment in two-step verification, you will see a security prompt. The method that you see will depend on what you have set-up as your authentication method. Depending on the method, follow the prompts on the screen.

 

7. You will be prompted with a Permissions requested screen to access your mailbox and sign-in information. To continue setup, tap Accept

You are now ready to use Mail for iOS.
